Community
Question: What do you call a group of Unicorns?
Answer: A blessing.
Our community has been denied access to play for long enough.
With your input, we are here to change that.
Our goal is for individuals to have access to play, whether learning and practicing braille or having access to independently play a game with their friends or family.
Community Appreciation
We are grateful to our community members who have helped us beta test many iterations of our products while in development. Thank you for helping us to think more broadly and reach more people via the simplicity of accessibility.
Backgammon: Leslie
Thanks for your time and input. Having your specific feedback was tremendous in helping us get to the final product quickly, and without too many iterations.
“Thank you for letting me help you work on this. I don’t get to do design work often.”
Thanks Leslie, we’ve so appreciated your collaboration!
Chess: Barbie, Adam, Otto
We appreciate you being willing to honestly let us know when something isn’t quite how you’d prefer. This has helped us to present our chess set to someone for the first time, with the feedback, “You thought of everything! It’s like you are blind!”
BELL program team
It was thrilling to be able to watch kids play together over the past 2 summers with gamified braille literacy tools. To the kids, the toys were fun enough that I don’t think they realized they were practicing braille literacy and O&M skills.
